My name is Kisha Joseph formerly known as Sweet Kay, St Lucia soca artiste. I was born on July 13th,1998. I developed a passion for soca music at a very tender age, but my journey to pursue that path commenced during my secondary school days where I first took part in my very first calypso competition and obtained second place.
In the year 2014 I was on the way to improving my craft and won my schools’ Mathematics soca competition where the riddim I sang on was sent to me by soca icon Fay Ann Lyons from Trinidad and Tobago. That same year I took second place in my school soca competion for both groovy and power soca.
In 2014 I released my first power soca track “Fire waist”. In 2015 turned put to be a bigger and better year for me when I released another single but this time in the groovy soca category entitled “D Vibe”. That single made waves around the island awarding me a very successful carnival season having me perform at some of the biggest events for the season where I was a guest artiste at the soca monarch finals, the offical close down session for St lucia carnival Mas attack hosted by choice, Inter commercial house, Kaiso head quarters and alot more.
My biggest achievement so far as a female soca artiste was last year 2016 where I made it to the Soca monarch finals with my groovy soca entitled “No Shame”. Although I did not place, this was a phenomenal moment for me being the youngest artiste to make it to the finals in an industry dominated by males.
This year I will be having yet another amazing season so look out for my new music which will be releasing very soon !
