Kiss And Makeup SLU was officially founded and registered as a local business in January 2016 by Ms. Hermia Sylvien and has been made available to customers predominantly via their Instagram and Facebook pages.
The business idea came about as a thought in early 2015 when Hermia wanted to combine two things that she was passionate about – sales and beauty products.
“I love the additional boost of confidence that makeup can provide, or the way it enhances one’s physical features,” she says. “I believe that makeup is an art, which is something I also love, and I wanted to provide a service which would afford the ladies in St. Lucia an opportunity to explore their creative side a bit.”
The aim at Kiss And Makeup SLU is to provide great products and services to customers, and the free weekly delivery service they provide to persons in Castries and Rodney Bay is a step in that direction. They also offer makeovers, provide weekly beauty tips on their Facebook page and assist persons with any questions about makeup that they may have. In addition, the company hosts Pop Up Shops at various locations, giving persons the opportunity to purchase products outside of the digital realm.

St Lucia’s probably only regular business community networking event Cocktails&Contacts is about to celebrate its second birthday.
A brainchild of Shernell Lionel of RSVP Marketing, Cocktails&Contacts enable St Lucian business people of different profiles and trades to exchange contacts, experience and opportunities.
Held at St Lucia Golf Club, the February event, sponsored by RBC and Peter&Company, again brought together a diverse crowd pursuing a variety of business activities, from local fruit juice making and HR expertise to shoe repairs and performing arts.
Shernell kept us busy: Cocktails&Contacts participants were expected to discuss pressing issues concerning the business atmosphere in St Lucia. However, there was still enough time for networking – and some delicious nibbles.
